Mission, Vision/Values

Mission

The faculty shall be a centre of excellence for teaching, entrepreneurship training, research and the dissemination of knowledge in sustainable agriculture.

Vision

The faculty will provide its graduates with the requisite academic and entrepreneurial skills in the area of sustainable agricultural production so that they can contribute effectively to national development.  In addition the faculty will conduct demand-driven research and disseminate appropriate technologies to farmers and relevant policy-making agencies of government.

Ethics policy

Faculty of agriculture is a secular and non-partisan public institution.  Admissions and academic awards are based on merit without regard to ethnicity, race or nationality, religious affiliation or beliefs, physical disabilities or gender.  Academic and social interactions within the faculty are governed by the principles of fair play, justice, honesty, moral rectitude, and respect for authority, human rights and environment.
