The Managing Director (MD) of Enepa Ventures Limited and Agricultural Manufacturing Group Company (AMG), Mr. Ernest Akwasi Appiah has pledged to award scholarships to twenty students from the Faculty of Agriculture of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The Entrepreneur made this announcement while presenting a cheque of One Million Ghana Cedis (GHS1,000,000) as donation to the School of Public Health (SPH) and the Department of Horticulture of the Faculty of Agriculture on 19th October 2021. Mr. Appiah disclosed that the gesture reflects his belief that financial constraints should not be a barrier to keeping children in school. He therefore promised his commitment to continue to assist students in similar situations.
Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo the Pro-Vice Chancellor, who received the check on behalf of the University, thanked Mr. Appiah for his considerate gift, further explained that there are stringent criteria in place for identifying outstanding but underprivileged students, assuring the delegation that the scholarships will be given to deserving beneficiaries at all times.
Dr. Eli Gaveh, an Agronomist and Business Strategist, who facilitated the funding suggested that the dedication of Mr. Appiah to build AMG and Enepa into strong indigenous brands should be hailed to spur entrepreneurial drive among university graduates and other youth.
Prof. Ben K. B. Banful, Provost, College of Agric & Natural Resources Prof. Enoch Osekre and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, thanked the MD of Enepa Ventures Mr. Appiah and AMG for their benevolence and support to the College.
